Yes, I referred to my family as a team. Teams have always been a big part of our lives, and our family is a team of it's own in every way.
Head Coach/Dad: Darrell, husband of almost 22 years, high school sweetheart since 1991... do the math! yikes I'm getting old. And, in reality he has coached wrestling for 20 years and football for 12 years.
Asst. Coach/Mom: Now all my woman's rights friends DO NOT FREAK OUT because I made my husband the "Head Coach." He is, and we also now that the assistant always gets stuck with the dirty work with less acknowledgement, also me... Moving on. I am a wife, a mom to three amazing kids, hobbyist of many many things, which I cannot for the life of me ever keep organized. I once coached YMCA softball and Varsity volleyball.
Wrestler: My oldest, Jason, who is a red shirt freshman wrestling for Western State Colorado University, out in Gunnison, CO. Never heard of it? It's the best little mountain town in the Rockies! You should visit.
Catcher: My only daughter, Jessi, who is a freshman down in Clarksville, TN at Austin Peay State University. Where their school chant really is, "Let's Go Peay!"
Quarterback: My baby, Robby, who is just turning into a teenager, in middle school and making his mom go through all this middle school sports and school years all over again. He keeps us all entertained.
That's our team!
